- 1 cup mixed berries
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package pastry dough
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the pastry dough and place it in a tart pan.
- In a saucepan, combine the mixed berries, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and cornstarch.
- Cook over medium heat until the berries are soft.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg yolks, and 1/4 cup of sugar.
- Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring until it thickens.
- Remove from heat, stir in the butter and vanilla.
- Pour the custard over the pastry and top with the berry mixture.
- Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
