Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add to the skillet. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  3. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add onions and garlic, cooking until onions are translucent.
  5. Add mushrooms and cook until browned.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and cook until sauce thickens.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and serve.
