A creamy and comforting pasta dish that combines the rich flavors of tomatoes, garlic, and turkey bacon.

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning to the skillet; stir to combine.
  5. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, then stir in cooked pasta and turkey bacon.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, then serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey bacon.
  • Can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter option.
