Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Gradually stir in the flour, then add the milk and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool, while preparing the cream filling.
  7. Dissolve the gelatin in warm water and mix it with the whipped cream.
  8. Cut the cake in half horizontally and spread the cream filling in between.
  9. Chill for several hours before serving.
