A delicious and comforting twist on classic French onion soup, featuring creamy macaroni and turkey bacon.

  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. Add onions to the pot with butter and sauté until caramelized.
  4. Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add cooked macaroni and bacon to the pot. Mix well.
  6. Stir in the cheeses until melted and creamy.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with additional cheese if desired.
