  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until pale and fluffy.
  2. Fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  5. Combine the coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
  6. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and layer them in a dish.
  7. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  8. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and mascarpone.
  9. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, let the tiramisu sit in the fridge overnight.
