A luscious and decadent dessert that combines the rich flavors of hot chocolate and cheesecake for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1 cup hot chocolate mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter to form the crust.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Add sour cream, melted chocolate, and hot chocolate mix; blend well.
  6. Incorporate eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  7. Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until set.
  9. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving.
  • This cheesecake can be made a day in advance for better flavor development.
