A delightful mushroom pasta dish that is creamy and comforting.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onions until translucent.
  3. Add garlic and mushrooms, cooking until mushrooms are tender.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  5. Mix in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper.
  7. Toss the cooked pasta in the cream sauce until well coated.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
  • Feel free to add spinach for added nutrition.
