- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and fill each muffin liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
