A creamy twist on the traditional bolognese sauce, featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham for added flavor and texture.

  • 4 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken ham, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop it into small pieces.
  2. In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté the onion until translucent. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Add the chopped chicken ham to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  5. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the crispy turkey bacon and Parmesan cheese until melted and incorporated.
  7. Serve over pasta or vegetables as desired.

Notes

  • This sauce works well with any pasta shape, but wide noodles hold the sauce best.
